Built in 1705AD the Sun is associated with the history of its local town Eastwood, from the famous meetings in 1832 that saw the birth of the Midland Railway or with that of our locally renowned author D.H Lawrence, it is included in his famous novel Sons and Lovers and many of the features that are mentioned are still in place today enhancing the culture of the Sun Inn and its location. The Sun Inn is situated in the heart of Eastwood, with direct links to the M1- J26 and within walking distance of the amenities of our local town Eastwood.
